About Resipee
Resipee is a free recipe scaler and cups-to-grams converter. Paste a recipe's ingredients to double, halve or resize them, or look up what a cup of flour, sugar or butter weighs.
Why it exists
Recipes rarely come in the size you need, and they don't always use the measures you have. Resizing by hand means awkward sums and amounts no measuring cup shows, and a recipe in cups is hard to follow with a kitchen scale.
Resipee does that work for you. Every amount is resized and rounded to something you can measure, it works on a phone in the kitchen, and every weight says where it comes from. The scaler is free and needs no sign-up.
What you can do here
- Scale a recipe by servings, by a multiplier or by the amount of one ingredient you have.
- Convert cups to grams and grams to cups for 46 ingredients.
- Convert between cups, tablespoons and teaspoons.
- Save your recipes with an account.
Where the numbers come from
Ingredient weights come from USDA FoodData Central, the US Department of Agriculture's food database, and each ingredient page links to its USDA entry. Cups and spoons are US customary measures: 1 cup = 16 tablespoons = 48 teaspoons. Sources and method explains how the numbers are worked out and rounded, and lists every USDA entry we use.
Privacy
The scaler works in your browser, and the ingredients you paste are not sent to us. Analytics only run if you agree to them. The privacy page has the details.
